Why does aXXo continually encode audio at such low bitrates? The bare minimum for an MP3 soundtrack should be 128kbs, anything lower sounds like shit and is distracting.
I know that having a lower audio bitrate will free up room for a higher video bitrate, but there‘s no way that you could notice the difference, a compressed AVI of a feature film will always have shitty detail, especially in any mildly dark scene plus an almost constant blocky look to it, no matter how low the audio bitrate is, at least at 128kbs the audio is good enough to not be distracting. Anyone who thinks this sounds good needs to have their hearing tested. |

So there are 2 ways to look at quality, 1) absolute scale and 2) a scale relative to file size.
